Camp in a Box

Camp in a Box brings a flexible, ready to go outdoor experience to Camp Sladdin, making it easy for schools, community groups, youth organisations and teams to enjoy high quality, safe and educational outdoor activities without the hassle of planning or equipment hire.

Our modular activity boxes can be run as single sessions, full day programmes or multi day camps, and are designed to build confidence, connection and capability through fun, hands on experiences in the outdoors.

Activities available at Camp Sladdin include the Challenge Trail (Confidence Course) to stretch comfort zones, Ngā Taonga Tākaro to explore traditional Māori games, and Orienteering to build navigation and teamwork skills. Groups can connect with culture and creativity through Rāranga (flax weaving), develop resilience with Survival bivy building, and put problem solving into action with Pioneering using our much loved Flintstone Karts.

There are also classic camp favourites such as Archery (Suction Arrows), the Burma Trail, Low Ropes and Slacklining, Hikoi Ngahere (bush walks), Fire Lighting and Outdoor Cooking, and the always popular Waterslide.

All Camp in a Box activities are supported by clear instructions, adaptable risk management, and learning resources for self led delivery. Programmes can be tailored to suit curriculum learning, team building goals, youth development outcomes or simply a great day out in te taiao.
